Summer is almost here for our Northern readers, and this week's Six for Saturday is a summer celebration of beach-themed creative ideas. Clockwise from upper left:
- Summer Beach Sand Frame (Crafts Unleashed)
- Beach Terrarium (Finding Home at At The Picket Fence)
- Crochet Beach Bag (Martha Stewart)
- DIY Beach Glass Buoys (Craftberry Bush) The glass is a very clever and inexpensive upcycle!
- Seashell Napkin Rings (Design Sponge)
- Reversible Beach Tote Bag (Something Turquoise | Photo: Studio 11 Weddings)
Note regarding the shell crafts above: If you aren't near a shell beach or collection is banned, this would look just as lovely if you made clay or plaster seashells instead. The salt dough starfish DIY shared this archived post is a great example of how simple and beautiful a free-hand DIY this can be or you can use molds in your favourite shapes. Shells can also be purchased, but make sure you buy from a responsible sustainable supplier.
For those of you celebrating Father's Day this coming Sunday, check out our Father's Day DIYs and freebies for more creative ideas and have a wonderful Father's Day weekend! Dalmatian DIY has a stack of pawesome posts for pet parents if your furbabies want in on the Father's Day action as well. :)
