Six for Saturday or Sunday - Holiday Wrapping

The countdown to Christmas continues! This weeks post is a round up of pretty ideas to inspire you to tackle the task of wrapping presents.  Here are some great creative ideas, discoveries, links and likes to inspire your creativity this weekend.

  1. Brown paper packages tied up with string and a few other festive favourite things (Good Housekeeping) make a very pretty present and the used paper is also easy to recycle.
  2. Celebrate a special date with hand stamped wrapping paper. (House to Home)
  3. Sheet music (Home Life) is a pretty pattern for wrapping paper no matter what the tune, but you can take this idea to the next level by picking a favourite Christmas carol and embellishing it with a coordinating decorations or trinket, like Jingle Bells with jingle bells, or Deck the Halls with a spring of holly.
  4. Create unique homemade holiday paper by potato stamping with the kiddies. (Kidspot)
  5. Photo tagging is a great way to add an extra-personal touch to your presents (Martha Stewart).  I also think that this would be a very fun if gifters self-tagged with an old photo for the recipient to guess who is playing their "Secret Santa".
  6. Make sure that your gift arrives in mint condition by using holiday candies instead of styrofoam (Country Living).
