Six for Saturday (or Sunday) - Thank You DIYs

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends and family back in Canada! This week's Six for Saturday (or Sunday) theme is a gratitude filled collection of thank you DIYs.  Here are some great creative ideas, discoveries, links and likes to inspire your creativity this weekend:

  1. Show your appreciation with a "Thanks a Latte" card (eighteen25 including the link to the free latte printable).  This would be a great way to give a gift card or, even better, invite a friend for a thank you coffee date.
  2. Pretty up a potted plant, succulent or seedling into a green thank you gift.  This thank you plant how-to (The Silly Pearl) would be great for a teacher or sitter, but you can easily adapt the inspiration into a grow-up gift for anyone.  I have seen some gorgeous wedding favours like this and it would also be a wonderful hostess present.
  3. Create a gift from the kitchen, like a jar of ready-to-bake cookie mix (Bakerella) and custom label it as a special thank-up.
  4. Tell them how grateful you are with a gorgeous handmade card (Once Wed).  This how-to tutorial has it all: make your own stamp, learn to print, and finish with sensational style elements.  Love it!
  5. Give sweets to the sweet with a special home baked Thank You Cookie treat (Oh! Crafts cross linked to Project Wedding)
  6. Has a friend helped you out of a sticky situation?  A bit of a jam, perhaps?  Hehe. Custom labels will help you to turn some delicious jam into a sweet thank you gift (simply{kierste} including the free clip art for your labels).  Add a loaf of fresh bread and a tea towel to tun this into a thank you basket.
Looking for creative more ideas? I have a whole board full of of tutorials and DIY on Pinterest.  If you decide to make something fabulous, create a treasury, or post something special to your blog, Facebook, or website this weekend, you are welcome to share in the comments or post it at Creativity Unmasked on Facebook

PS: As an added DIY idea, check out my guest Friday DIY at the Plushka Blog for a quick and easy how to on making your own scented bath salts.  A pretty jar of handmade bath salts with a custom label would make an indulgent thank-you treat, especially for someone who has earned your gratitude wrangling kiddies, helping you with your garden, assisting with a move, or other chores.
