Six for Saturday (or Sunday) - Seaside DIY

This week's Six for Saturday (or Sunday) theme is a watery-blue collection of seaside DIY. Here are some great creative ideas, discoveries, links and likes to inspire your creativity this weekend:

  1. Create your own nautical style with a DIY sailors knot headband (Miss Tea & Co).
  2. Bring the beach to your bathroom or patio with a DIY seaglass tile tray (Martha Stewart).
  3. Channel your inner child (or get the kiddies to help!) and make old fashioned salt dough into a very grown-up starfish garland (Desperate Craftwives).
  4. Daydream of summer days by the shore while you relax on a beautiful handmade ombre seascape pillow (I don't Know How She Does It via Oh the lovely things).
  5. Create a mermaid worthy treasury for your jewellery box, like a seaglass bracelet (Martha Stewart) or rustic rope bracelet (Sideoats & Scribbles via Small for Big).
  6. Create a rope wrapped vase (Bridal Guide) and pair it with beautiful shades of blue blossoms.
Looking for creative more ideas? I have a whole board full of of tutorials and DIY on Pinterest.  If you decide to make something fabulous, create a treasury, or post something special to your blog, Facebook, or website this weekend, you are welcome to share in the comments or post it at Creativity Unmasked on Facebook

  1. What a lovely nautical collection of DIYs! Love that headband with a knot. x

  2. Thanks, Katia! It is such a gorgeous morning and I am dreaming of the beach today, but Dan has to work (and do I, if I can drag myself away from Pinterest...heheh)

  3. Gorgeous collection - thanks for sharing just ahead of summer. We too can start dreaming of the beach :)

  4. Time to start dreaming indeed - and NZ has such gorgeous beaches! I am envious of you getting to enjoy NZ's natural spring beauty.

  5. What a beautiful selection! Thank you for reminding me about salt dough - I need to do it with my daughter. We used to have a ceramic workshop when I was a teenager, but not anymore... however, salt dough is good, too )

Thanks ever so much for taking the time to leave us a comment - we read each and every one. We appreciate you taking the time to say hello and share your thoughts. We are all about sharing here at Creativity Unmasked so you are also welcome to give your own creative post/page a shout-out in your comment. :)
